Technical Information
Principal photography for "Failing Haiti" was shot on 24P HD, with some material also shot slo-motion, all using the Panasonic Varicam.  Stock footage came from a variety of formats. Editing and sound design was done in HD on an AVID Adrenaline HD and mastered onto 1080/24 D5 with eight audio tracks containing the various mix tracks. 25fps PAL masters were made from this master, as well as 1080i/30 HD masters for Japan. All audio was maintained digital throghout the post process.

Rod Paul shot, directed, produced, and edited "Failing Haiti." Based in Atlanta at Primary Pictures, Rod has over 30 years of experience in film and video production.  He has directed award winning commercials, as well as films for the 1996 and 1998 Olympics, documentaries for National Geographic and Discovery Channels, and an on-going HD project in Ethiopia called "From The Apes". David Adams wrote, narrated, and assisted in the editing of "Failing Haiti". Based in Miami, Adams is the Latin American correspondent for the St. Petersburg Times. Adams has written on Haiti for 18 years.

Jean-Guy Noel provided additional still photography and video, as well as extensive production assistance for "Failing Haiti". Noel is a lifetime resident of Port-Au-Prince.

Boukman Eksperyans provided music for "Failing Haiti". Boukman Eksperyans has been one of Haiti's most influential bands, combining modern instruments and sounds with the traditional style of Haitian Roots music.
